Role: Director, Healthcare Supply Chain Consulting

Vaco is seeking a senior leader with 8+ years of healthcare supply chain experience to drive operational reviews, process improvements, and system optimizations for hospital and health system clients. This role will focus on procurement, GPO and outside service contracts, inventory management, and supply chain system integration (Epic, Lawson, Pyxis, Meditech, Cerner).

What You'll Do:

• Lead client engagements and serve as subject matter expert.

• Deliver cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

• Mentor junior consultants and interface with executives.

• Travel 60-80% (depending on engagement).

Must Have:

• Healthcare supply chain leadership (8+ years).

• Strong GPO/contract optimization expertise.

• Prior consulting experience or proven ability managing multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Epic, Meditech, or Cerner supply chain knowledge.

• Experience with benchmarking, charge-to-claim audits, or sustainability initiatives.

Details:

• Contract-to-Hire (Direct hire possible for exceptional candidates).

• $95-115/hr

• If converted: $225K-$250K.

• US-based, heavy travel, some remote flexibility.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
