Dispensing Optician wanted

Nashua Eye Associates, P.A. Has been serving the community for over 40 years. We are currently looking for a few great Opticians to join our team in the Nashua, Milford and Hudson offices. If you have a passion for style and working with patients, we want to speak with you. Candidates must be able to establish a good rapport with patients, possess a caring and cooperative personality, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

List of Responsibilities/Duties

• Assist patients in a timely fashion with frame selection and lens choices.
• Prepares orders, paperwork, etc. in such a fashion that results in accurate orders, no remakes and satisfied patients.
• Offers patients information on lenses, coatings, sunglasses, multiple pair discounts, etc.
• Reviews warranties, return policies, etc. with patients.
• Adjust frames and completes frame repairs to patient satisfaction.
• Obtains prior authorization for hardware when they have not already been obtained.
• Stays current of optical plans being offered in the area.
• Make sure the optical department is open on time and closed after all patients are seen.
• Posts sales daily and in a complete manner — all monies to be balanced daily and given to accounts payable for deposit.
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Conforms to all company policies and procedures including punctuality, attendance and dress codes.
• Demonstrates flexibility in job assignment.
• Takes pride and ownership in success and image of Nashua Eye Associates

• Complete all frame adjustments and repairs as necessary.
• Maintains inventory, both posting and physical

Minimum Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• A.B.O. certification a plus.
